GERARD COX
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
THE SOL GROUP

Gerard Cox is the Chief Executive Officer of The Sol Group with over 25 years of experience in the petroleum industry. Having joined Sol in 2004 as a Petroleum Consultant he quickly rose in rank to become Director- Markets & Business Development in 2006. In both roles, he has had the responsibility of crafting the strategic business direction of the company and has led negotiations across the region on several large petroleum projects. In his current role he is responsible for leading the Sol Group of Companies, reporting to the Sol Board of Directors and the Chairman.

Mr. Cox is a seasoned professional on petroleum matters both regionally and internationally. He has successfully led The Sol Group through several business acquisitions and is highly proficient in new business development and M&A.

Prior to joining The Sol Group, Mr. Cox was Assistant General Manager, with ChevronTexaco Eastern Caribbean Limited. In this role he managed the marketing and operations of the Eastern Caribbean territories and saw the expansion of the business through the acquisition of several large power generation and commercial accounts, and the development of new retail and aviation opportunities across the region. Throughout his 16 year tenure with ChevronTexaco he had management responsibility across various business units and operations.

He has a solid engineering, project management and business background and is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a degree from Texas A & M University.
