Sol Introduces New Fuel Offer to St. Maarten 

Country Manager, David Antrobus addresses the guests at the official St. Maarten launch of Sol Go Further

Customers in St. Maarten can now be treated to an advanced, fuel economy product when they fill up at Sol Service Stations from today.

At a formal stakeholder gathering which saw prominent ministers, key industry ministers, partners and customers assembled, Sol announced the introduction of Sol Go Further - the new advanced formulation designed to take you 10 Kilometres further with every full tank based on average driving conditions in a 1.8 lire engine. Sol Go Further is designed to improve your engine’s performance with cleaning and friction modifying technology. 

Regional Marketing Manager, Roger Bryan who was in attendance for the special event, confirmed the launch of Sol Go Further was very much a testament of Sol’s commitment to deliver innovative customer solutions and quality products which customers require to meet their everyday needs. He stated, “All across the region, the marketing research suggests that the average fuel consumer desires more value from their fuel offer. There has been a move towards the purchase of more fuel efficient cars and an emphasis on fuel economy. In an effort to respond to the new customer behaviors and needs, we at Sol have introduced Sol Go Further, the fuel economy proposition which gives you more mileage, more value and more bang for your buck”.

He further stated that St. Maarten was the fourth country in the region to launch the product and that so far the customer responses have been very favourable after trying the product. Bryan confirmed that Sol Service Stations in Barbados and Suriname specifically, have seen a positive uptrend in sales volumes. Neighboring market BVI launched the product only on Dec 1st and while it was too early to report sales trends, the general consensus from the motoring public also was very encouraging with customers endorsing the longer lasting benefit of Sol Go Further.

Country Manager David Antrobus expressed appreciation to the motoring public for their support of the Sol brand and was very happy to be able to launch the product ahead of the busy Christmas period, a time where motorists are known to consume more fuel. According to him, “Sol’s success to date is largely due to the support of its customers and the contributions made by its staff and partners over the past 7 years. We are pleased to be able to give back to our loyal customers and are delighted to offer our innovative fuel formulation designed to specifically meet the needs of the motoring public; we know some extra mileage will definitely be welcomed at this time of year. This Christmas you can go the extra mile, you can Go Further! We remain committed to being top-of-the-line in the fuel industry, first in developing innovative products and will continue to improve our level of service across our Service Station network”.

In addition to getting more for their money, motorists can also look forward to the value-added activities which Sol will implement over the next few days and weeks.

Starting with a series of Customer Appreciation Days at different stations over a period of two months, these events will see customers receiving branded items for shopping at Sol and trying the new Sol Go Further Gasoline. The first event takes place December 14th at Simpson Bay from 4- 6 PM.

Additionally, a bumper sticker will be given to customers, while stocks last. Persons spotted in vehicles with the sticker will be given 25 Guilders in free gas. The winning vehicle registration numbers will be announced on Facebook and the winners may redeem their winnings Sol’s Cay Bay Office.
