Sol Welcomes French Guiana to Our GroupJuly 30, 2012

On July 18th The Sol Group officially welcomed SOL GUYANE FRANçAISE (SGF) to its Group of Companies.
This new business unit has acquired four service stations from Rubis in French Guiana as well as the commercial business from Globale Caribéenne Energies, SOL’s partner in SGF.
This successful acquisition marks another milestone in Sol’s growth strategy since its inception in 2005.
French Guiana is now the 18th pillar in Sol’s portfolio and this move extends the company’s presence within the North Eastern region of South America, alongside neighbours Suriname and Guyana who are no strangers to Sol’s operations.
The company will be managed by Patryck Peru-Dusmesnil who has significant experience in the energy business having previously worked for Chevron in all of the French markets including French Guiana and Haiti.
Mr.Gerard Cox, Chief Executive Officer of The Sol Group, stated Sol’s presence in French Guiana is a springboard for the company to establish itself further as a world-class brand and offer its quality products and services to a new set of customers in the region.
