This station takes the count of Sol managed stations to twenty-one across the Barbados network. Customers visiting the new Shell Service Station will be impressed with the modern, sophisticated look which also boasts the use of the latest forecourt technology, making the Service Station an excellent addition to the northern coast of Barbados.
General Manager of Sol (Barbados) Ltd., Andrew Niles says that Sol will continue to be a leader in the industry: “When we made the decision to expand our retail network our entire team was committed to the improvement of the existing site. The Service Station at Mile & A Quarter has several significant features that we are extremely proud of…we have designed the station following, the latest design standards offered by Shell (Shell RVIE). Our customers will experience a modern facility which also includes the use of special LED lighting to provide a safe environment for all in addition to reduced energy usage.”
Sol is also pleased to open our second Sol Shop at Mile & A Quarter. The Sol Shop is an innovative, simple model, designed to serve you better. In the near future Sol expects to brand several convenience stores in the Sol brand in Barbados and across the region.
The opening of this new Shell Service Station coincides with Sol’s 5th anniversary which is being celebrated today. Since 2005 Sol has grown from an idea, to the largest independent oil company in the Caribbean operating in 16 markets, over 400 stations, transacting business in 4 languages and 9 currencies. Several planned anniversary activities are scheduled to take place throughout the year.
