Sol Guyana acknowledged the company’s 7 year anniversary by giving back to the local school community.
St. Anne’s Primary School in Agricola, which is in close proximity to the Sol Guyana office, was pleased to receive a facelift to its school library, along with the installation of a new school sign and refuse bins to keep the schools surroundings clean.
Sol Guyana's General Manager, Ken Figaro spoke at the presentation and confirmed that Sol was pleased to make a contribution to the local primary school.
“As we celebrate Sol’s 7 year anniversary it is crucial for us to continue supporting our local community as their contributions have made Sol as successful as it is to date. As a company we remain committed to supporting activities which will have a long-term impact on the communities which we serve. Education and matters relating to the environment continue to be two of our key focus areas and we are happy to provide St. Anne’s with a well outfitted library and new refuse bins which will help to improve the beauty of their surroundings. The children and staff of St. Anne’s Primary School have been very receptive to us and I know that our donation to the school will encourage them to continue on in their studies and to take further care of their school environs.”
