SOL EC LTD. Acknowledges 8th Anniversary and Rewards Local Students

SOL EC LTD (St. Lucia) celebrated eight years serving the people of St. Lucia and the wider Caribbean on February 5th 2013.  In recognition of this significant milestone the company took time to recognise the top eight performing students in non-academic areas at the George Charles Secondary school, a school which is in its trading area and which the company has adopted.

The eight students recognized for dedicated service to their various clubs are:

Young Leaders  -    Elizabeth Higgins
Cadets Corp       -    Karan Joseph
Track & Field       -   Jovan Stephen
Cricket                  -   Simon Joseph
Football                -   Jarvis Joseph
Basketball           -   Jessy Jemmot
Netball                 -   Tonia St. Marthe
Steel Pan             -   Noah Nurse

These students are dedicated and known for going above and beyond the call of duty in giving not just 100% but at times more than 108%.

Recognising the company interest in working with the community, SOL EC LTD. saw this as a fitting way of giving back to the community for their support over the last eight years.

Each of the eight top students received an honors scroll for outstanding contribution to their club with eight stars, a book voucher and a fun pass to the cinema for their friends and family.

The school will in-turn receive a cheque valued at $1008 which will go towards the schools after school curriculum program.

During the presentation, General Manager Mrs. Eugenie Dalson urged students to strive for excellence in whatever they do, knowing that it is only through hard work they will achieve their goals.

Also during the ceremony Form 1 student of the Leon Hess School Ms. Aleana Edward, was selected from a group of students to be sponsored by the company under the Student Development Program.  As part of this initiative SOL EC LTD will track Aleana’s attendance record each term and will contribute annually to her transportation expenses.

The ceremony was held at the company’s office in Cul-De-Sac on 8th February 2013 and commenced at eight minutes past eleven.  In attendance were students and teachers of both schools as well as the staff of SOL EC LTD
