Competitors and spectators at home and abroad are looking forward to another standout year for Sol Rally Barbados in 2013 with Sol once again in the driver’s seat as the event’s title sponsor. 

Welcoming a line-up of drivers and navigators from more than 14 countries, the region’s biggest motor sport international will take place on Saturday June 1^st and Sunday June 2^nd, following the previous weekend of Scrutineering and the Scotiabank King of the Hill ‘Shakedown’ on May 25^th and 26^th. 

This year marks the sixth edition of Sol Rally Barbados since 2008, when Sol signed the first of two consecutive three-year deals with the Barbados Rally Club, beginning a fast paced and exciting journey leading up to the staging of this year’s much anticipated Rally.

Commenting on Sol’s continuing support for motor sport in Barbados, Ezra Prescod, Country Manager for SOL (BARBADOS) LTD said the road ahead promised to be even more exciting. He noted there could be no gainsaying the mutually beneficial nature of the link between motor sport and Sol as the region’s premier supplier of fuels.

“What is notable about this partnership is that the Sol Brand and fuels were conceptualised here in Barbados and are products of Bajan expertise and innovation, a distinction which we proudly share with Rally Barbados, which in just over two decades has become one of the most enjoyable and anticipated events on the international motor sport calendar,” Prescod said.

The Country Manager added there were several other important aspects of the partnership worthy of mention:

Sol Rally Barbados 2013 marks the 24th running of the Barbados Rally Club’s annual International All-Stage Rally and the super weekend will culminate with a grand prize giving ceremony.
