For the 3rd consecutive year, SOL EC LTD awarded five (5) students from the St. Vincent Grammar School for achieving excellence in both their academic and social accomplishments. These awards are part of Sol’s annual commitment to the school for the last two years to give back to the community by contributing specifically in the area of education and social development of the leaders of tomorrow.
In 2010, Sol partnered with the Grammar School to reward one (1) student from each form for diligent work not only in academic excellence but also in leadership, good conduct, and involvement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, as way of encouraging them to fulfil the school’s motto “per aspera ad astra”, which means "Through hardships to the stars". This year Sol awarded the five (5) recipients with a plaque and XC$200.00. “We continue to reward students for diligent work not only in the academics, but all rounded leaders of tomorrow” remarked Sales Supervisor, John Jacobs.
“Sol will continue to support young leaders who emerge from within the St. Vincent Grammar School each year and as such will continue to throw its support behind the school and its students since we recognise that encouraging and rewarding these students openly can only help to further develop them and others into well-rounded and responsible citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We encourage the students to keep up the good work and to continue to aim for the stars”. We would also like to congratulate Alron Harry who placed 1st the CEE (common entrance exam) 2011 and has continued to show excellence through the winning of the award for Form 1.
