Sol is pleased to announce the opening of its second Sol branded Service Station in Barbados. Today May 21st, Sol Redman’s (formerly Shell Redman’s) has officially re-opened for business following the opening of Sol Wildey at the end of March this year.

The unveiling of the new station follows a month of renovations intended to offer customers a new and improved service station experience.

Well-known as a Shell licensee, Sol has used the Shell trademarks at Service Stations across the region. This relationship was fostered through an agreement forged back in 2005 when The Sol Group took over Shell’s operations in the Caribbean.

Having operated under the Shell brand, Sol has learnt and demonstrated the best practices in petroleum marketing and distribution over the last seven years. Looking towards the future, the partnership between Sol and Shell will develop and grow.

The opening of the first two stations here in Barbados is a renewal of Sol’s commitment to offer quality products and services, but packaged in a prominent Silver, Blue and Orange, the recognized colour palette of The Sol Group. The Sol Service Station package is modern, elegant and timeless; it represents a fresh approach to the oil business - one that combines regional relationships with world class products and technical expertise.

Ezra Prescod, Sol’s Country Manager for Barbados said this latest unveiling reemphasizes Sol’s continuous commitment to developing its brand position as the region’s leading and most recognisable petroleum company: a great achievement for the Group which is fully Caribbean owned and managed:

“Since 2005, Sol has been committed to the developing itself into a trusted and dependable brand, a goal which we have been successful in achieving thus far. This has been demonstrated through our continued expansions and improvements in Barbados as well as across the region. Increasing the brand’s visibility is a significant part of this commitment and offering a quality product is our goal to customers every day. Now, with seven years of experience in the industry, Sol is maturing as a sound Caribbean owned and managed business, serving the energy requirements of its key stakeholders within the industry. ”.

In Barbados, both the Sol and Shell Service Stations will continue to coexist, offering customers more options and convenience. Collectively, through both the Sol and Shell service station networks, Sol asserts that it will continue to offer improved service and quality products to its customers both in Barbados and across the region.
