The prayers of diesel consumers in Barbados have been answered with the launch of Sol’s advanced diesel formulation.

Ezra Prescod, Country Manager for SOL (BARBADOS) LTD said Sol had once again led the way in putting the needs of its consumers first. He noted the introduction of this latest fuel technology further enhanced Sol’s reputation as the leading supplier of advanced petroleum products, engineered with a view to enhancing vehicle performance in local driving conditions.

“The introduction of Sol Go Even Further Diesel at this time is further affirmation of our commitment to providing every Barbadian with the best value in fuels, conceptualised and designed by us for our unique driving conditions. This new product goes even further than our original Sol Go Further Diesel which we introduced earlier in the year for enhanced engine cleaning and maintenance, as we now also have the benefit of more mileage, along with environmental protection,” Prescod said.

Addressing a gathering of commercial customers and retailers at the Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados for the official product launch, Prescod said Sol’s commitment to its customers, and its determination to “go even further” had fuelled a successful drive towards the launch of the environmentally friendly Sol Go Even Further diesel product. 

“We believe we can be justifiably proud and passionate about the performance of our fuels and today’s unveiling of this remarkable diesel is further evidence of our commitment. Barbadians are among the first in the region to benefit following a successful launch of this product in Suriname last week, and Sol will continue with the rolling out of this remarkable product throughout the region. 

The Country Manager emphasised multiple advantages of the new diesel product:

“Our diesel contains a new “breathe easy” formulation with a unique additive which removes deposits in diesel injectors and delivers up to 10 kilometres more per tank. Customers will also benefit from lower maintenance costs, since the low sulphur formulation reduces the build-up of acid and corrosion in the fuel system and reduces maintenance over the life of the vehicle.”

Prescod added that the new “breathe easy” formulation was also designed to produce less damaging particulate matter, leading to a healthier environment.

“Sol is also committed to helping to green our environment, and this new fuel goes a long way towards achieving this goal.”

The new diesel product follows on the successful launch in June 2012 of Sol Go Further gasoline and diesel economy fuels. Sol Go Further gasoline is designed to improve engine performance and fuel economy, giving motorists up to 10 kilometres more per tankful, based on average driving conditions in a 1.8 litre engine with a full 50 litre fuel tank. Based on average driving with a full 50 litre fuel tank and 2.0 litre engine, the new Sol Go Even Further Diesel fuel also delivers up to 10 kilometres more while significantly reducing harmful emissions.
