The merchant expansion of the Cave Shepherd Card gained further momentum this November, as the business announced its new partnership with SOL (BARBADOS) LTD. The Sol partnership is the latest addition in Cave Shepherd’s ongoing initiative to grant Cardholders access to an expanded merchant portfolio.  Cardholders will now have the option of using the Cave Shepherd Card at all Sol and Shell Service Stations island-wide. “We consider our partnership with Sol a major accomplishment given the unit’s strategy and anticipate that our Cardholders will be thrilled with the introduction of Sol as one of our merchant partners.  We are privileged to have such a loyal Cardholder base and wish to thank all Cardholders for their continued overwhelming response to the additional partners added to our merchant portfolio”, stated Director, Card Services, Alison Browne-Ellis.  She further stated: “our merchant expansion continues to be very customer focused as direct feedback from our Cardholders has allowed us to engage partners whom we truly believe will provide an enhanced shopping experience.  Given SOL’s convenient island-wide locations, Cardholders now have greater opportunity to Choose It. Charge It. with the ease of swiping their Cave Shepherd Card for a wide range of products and services; including fuels and convenience store items.” Sol Group Regional Manager (OECS), Roger Bryan, said the company’s partnership with the Cave Shepherd Card was a perfect fit in keeping with Sol’s commitment to offering the best products and services to its customers: “Sol is always looking for opportunities to literally go further on behalf of our customers and partnering with the Cave Shepherd Card, the island’s largest card services provider, affords us that opportunity.  The partnership offers our customers easier access to our products through a more convenient and flexible payment alternative.  Sol is the local leader in the provision of petroleum products and services, along with our network of convenience stores and our alliance with the Cave Shepherd Card enhances our customer service delivery and complements our value strategy.” The additional value created with the introduction of Sol’s wide network of Service Station and Convenience Store locations to the Cave Shepherd Card’s portfolio also enhances the Card’s strategic placement in the market.  The Unit now provides shopping at 13 merchants including, Carter’s General Stores, Digicel, Automotive Art, The Barbados Reference Laboratory, Trimart Supermarkets, KFC Restaurants and now Sol.
